People I know arrived at 2 pm today and finally got in the gate, not teched mind you, around 7 pm. $340 to enter, and this is the level of customer service one gets. Unacceptable doesn't begin to describe it. I have not yet had the opportunity to meet Mr. Clifford, but suffice it to say I'll be introducing myself in the near future, at the very least via email Monday morning.

Dan, well stated as usual. If Mr. Clifford doesn't listen to you, who in God's name will get his attention?

With all do respect Keith, its not just about what's available at the showroom, its who supports NHRA at the division level year after year. I would have much rather seen 20 more sportsman cars let it than street and index cars that get picked out hat to go to a National race. As far as the showroom cars goes, Only one car out of those 16 cars was newer than a 2000 model year. Not sure anybody would be interested in buying a 85 LTD to go racing. Also, I think most people at the race track would rather see the COPO Camaro go down the track than a 2014 Cherokee.

Lol I was just stirring the pot

This may be NHRA's feeble way of attracting a younger crowd! Its like hey anyone can drag race, come on down! I am in agreement with the concept of attracting new blood to the sport, especially after hearing that only 12 drivers out of 70 entered in stock(at the Atco National Open) were under the age of 60. I just think that this is the wrong time and place.
I am starting to get accustomed to poor track conditions. I have not seen a well prepped track this season, but the right lane at E-Town was horrible!!!

So it makes me wonder then. If the JR's had to pay to get in.

I know for sure that the Juniors that run at Pomona do not pay an entry fee, but they are also making a few exhibition passes only and not racing.

Maybe it's because someone can go to a show room and buy one of those cars unlike your Copo. what a concept..flame away......

Well at least you didn't attack the Junior Dragsters - and I'm OK with them as they were doing 'Showcase' runs only ........

And here are a few pics I found hidden from the weekend
