Also long overdue ..A song (or is it three?) with Country in the title ;-)

"Country Girl
a.Whiskey Boot Hill
b.Down, Down, Down
c.Country Girl (I Think You're Pretty)"
from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's "DÉJÀ VU".

One of the many shocks to my mind about today’s younger generation came while I was waiting on my MH repair and in the waiting room they had this video playing. Twenty something walks in and says “who’s that?” My Lord, bad enough they don’t know history but....

Forgot it was two for Tuesday yesterday. Hell, I never know what day it is anymore ...

Lets do a couple from Clapton off the record that made him famous. Listening to him and Dwayne Allman playing dual leads is quite a treat....

I know the feeling, and I did the same thing..Hard to remember what day it is in my world too ;-)

This should have been put up in the Deja Vu post.
Probably the shortest song on the album, but still a rocker;

Some songs are really implanted in your brain. The first time this song was played on the radio in the Columbus area was Q-FM 96. It was a Saturday afternoon in mid summer, the DJ was making a big speech about this upcoming, going to be a huge hit for Billy Thorpe song. The sky was pitch black, all the leaves were turned upside down and the sky looked so angry and wicked. Tornado watches were out. Thunder was busting and lightning was racing through the clouds. I was in the house alone and it was kind of spooky... and then this song came on.. Really set the mood for a song such as this … kind of like War of the Worlds … Thanks for the memory ..

"Let's do this first ..Post a video of the kind of music you listen to while in the shop, or driving to and from the races. Give us a bit of background about your choice, and whether it's changed, etc.
Let's do only one video per post, per day, and give people a chance to catch up.
Thanks "

Two-fer Tuesdays allowed ;-) ;-)

We've heard quite a bit of "city rock" and Classic rock artists. I'll bet some of you guys still have the 8 tracks in the garage somewhere .

Hoping to see some other genres , too.

We're gonna mellow out just a bit now.
The Beau Brummels were a Beatle-esque mid 60's group that were partly responsible for ushering in the San Francisco Sound..
They re-formed in 1975 for a reunion album.
This song is a cover of one of their earlier hits, with a touch more acoustic and country added.. Probably what I like about it... ;-)
