I would say yes! BUT first get perfectly clear confirmation from NHRA, is it a car or is it a truck? It's listed in the guide under trucks.

So, is there an advantage/ disadvantage to whether it is a car or truck?

Unless things have changed recently, the trucks were allowed .430" lift, even if the same engine in a car was considerably less lift.

Well that's interesting. So far, I can't get the engine specs to display ( I think it's a system glitch because some will display and some models wont)

Wow. Back in the 70's, I New Car Prepped a boat load of 76,77- 78 Aspen Wagons at the Dodge Dealership. Thinking of that time makes it hard visualizing them as Race Car. But a U/SA Shootout would be a good time. Might just have to look for a Aspen or Volare.

Ok guys n gals, so Since about 2005, I have not driven a car down a track. Nor have I kept up racing, so what's the story behind a U/SA shootout?

Mike Jeffrey ran the Diplomat that Curtiss Rees now has in U once. I think he went .5 under. 2 bbl Slant.

I have a 78 Volare 2dr 2bbl car that could be bought real cheap.

I thought I was pretty fast until the final round of the U/SA shootout. Then I had Bob Shaw.
