I also remember one of the other members of the 1320 Car Club, Buck O'Bryon, had a roadster named "Makin' Bacon", artwork and all!:D Lew |

It isn't actually painted on the car, but there will be a decal with "Marvin the Martian" on the car before long. |

I believe the guys name who ran the 1/4 pounder in s/s was Haas ?. Larry Severson from N. Dakota bought it, and ran it in the brackets with a BB. That was in the late 70's gsa612

Re: Cool race car names!
During Prohibition in the '20s-30s a "business opportunity" arose here in Nova Scotia to use fishing boats to smuggle liquor into the U.S. past the patrol boats. With that in mind one of my favorite race car names was on a Roadrunner that raced here in the '70s, named "Rum Runner".
Some other local names included: "Moonshot" "One More Time" "Lucky Pierre" "Snoopy" "The Wooden Shoe" "The Invader" "The Fog City Flyer" "Dollar After Dollar". |
