Re: Musical Tastes
So the story goes Stevie wrote that for Jeff Beck, after Beck played on his Talking Book album in 1972. Stevie liked to play all the instruments himself, but worked with guitarists. Once record executives heard Stevie`s version, they knew it would be a hit, and told him to hang on to it! Beck released it with BBA at some point.

Re: Musical Tastes
Curiosity got the better of me today. Dug up the old pile of vinyl and found some Kenny Baker with Joe Greene. And a Buck Ryan.
Plus some David Bromberg, Bill Wilson, and Richard Betts. Of course Lightfoot, Fogelberg, and others. Must have been listening to everything in the '70's I guess. Victor in Kingman |
Re: Musical Tastes
Stevie Wonder also wrote a couple of other songs for Jeff Beck ."Thelonius" and this one, "Cause We`ve Ended as Lovers". Both appeared on "Blow by Blow", for some, his best work.
Like him or not, hard to argue against his ability. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiOPvOBd8IA |
