I know tech is necessary. I thought you had to get on the sheet, even if you just stage or are DQ'ed. Maybe not. Somebody know?

I'll ask again,since when can't I enter my car,as owner with grade points,and have someone else,with no grade points,be entered as the driver?

I have seen someone tech the same car at a nal open and get the grade point without going down the track. Tom

Don't you remember me entering 4 points meets with the big red Dodge shop truck in stock. I never made a pass. Even entered Bradenton and drove to Memphis getting 2 grade points in the same weekend. All to get into Indy with the AH car. You know how that ended up. I have wasted a lot of time in my life but that has to rank close to the top.
Don't know if that is still allowed or not. That was 06 or 07. I did go to tech and had a stock number and letters for the windows but did not have to put them on. I did have to have a vehicle that was in the class guide.

I don't think it matters who owns the car. The driver has to enter it with his or her name and signature on the tech card. It'd be like entering a different car in a class with the same driver number that was used on another car.

No more owner, driver switches. I did it in 2007 the next year they outlawed it. You get a grade point and 10 points for passing tech.

I don't see why they just don't open the last hour to anyone with a zero points grade if there's more than say 5 or 10 entries open.If you have grade points and you're not entered at that point there's very few legit situations to wait that long to enter.Their cockamamie (there's that phrase again) policies never fail to amaze.
