Hildebrandts 39 Chey has a Hemi in it.Eddie had a 1964 Hemi Dodge and a 1968 Hemi Dart.Both cars came out of a Dealer in Phila. Pa.

I still have a custom paint book from the 1970s that shows how to paint ribbons, freak drops, lace, and other techniques from that period. There was some sort of paint that left deep cracks in it when it shrunk, and then required a million coats of clear to fill it in. That was probably a candy paint that had severe problems, so they marketed it as a feature for custom paint jobs.

Sort of like the adhesive for post-it notes, it was supposed to be a super adhesive, but would barely hold a piece of paper. Sometimes failures have a place.

It was called "Vreeble" and Metalflake Inc sold it. You sprayed it over a metalflake base and the top coat would split and shrink. Cool effect but you could close down a paint store buying up the clear to finish it. lol

That is a very cool photo of a '68 Hemi Dart with period paint on it...I would love to see some more pics of it if anyone else has any! ;)
