I have never had it happen but can you imagine taking a week off of work to go to a national event , spending thousands to do it and going two or three rounds driving your ***** off and catching some cat in your class in the fourth rd w a 100,000 car who doesn't even have to look at the tree, he can just watch you leave and run you down before the 330 mark. Now I ask is this gonna make you say damn I gotta get in the garage and find some hp that ain't gonna be enough to make up the three or four tents the guy in the 100,000 car has on you or are you gonna say f it and go bracket racing where the field is a bit more level ? Let guys set records in time trials and tear them down or don't. It's just gonna be copos dps mustangs and the glasbrenners and I know that heads up finals are rare but doing it this way would almost always ensure that everyone has a fair shot and you will win or lose based on your driving that day not how much money you have.

Can't wait to see the battle for the record in May. 10.60's in G from a 40+ year old car would be epic.

as for the killer

Nobody is impressed with your steel head cement mixer technology race car. We didn't invite you or your opinion here. Nobody cares about it because you don't race with us or our rules. Other than at your home track, does anybody in the country know who you or car? Most likely not.

When you win the bracket finals or do something that stands out from the guys that you race with and against maybe you will become relevant. Until then you are a nobody in our world, and on this site. have a nice life.

I would never have guessed that a simple question could have generated this type of discussion.

I want to make the move from Brackets to a Stocker and just needed a bit of info as the car I was going to look at did not have an extensive Class Racing history.

It has been very educational though.

I think treekiller may have been parked way too close to the starting line. Baton Rouge may have been a better location. As for the testosterone fueled record claims for G/SA I may make this trip. The last time I called people out to set that record nobody else showed up. It was lonesome in Montgomery and I didn't even change oil or anything.

Mad Hawaiian that why I suggested the food and drink, by the way I am healing nicely but could use your help changing the parker pan.

I raced in G/SA this year at 4075 pounds minimum weight.

How much horsepower will I have to make in order to run 10.60's with you guys?

Todd todd todd so bitter. Reminds me of the fast guys who ran quick16 at noproblem having track management put a 8.50 et limit in the class because they couldn't attract 16 dragsters and slow doorcars even footbrakers were stepping in and waxing that azz. Like I said dude just a suggestion

Re: G/SA Current Record

Well treekiller like some many bracket racers before and I'm sure more to come know a lot more than we do about racing- bracket racing that is. Class racing, Stock or Super Stock is a whole different game. They don't, can't and very few will ever understand. The accomplishment of making a Q-jet 350 ci 3200 lb car run in the tens is lost on racers that order another 100 cubic inches or another stage of nitrous when they feel the need to go faster. Joe I would think you would want me to get horsepower, it won't hurt you.
