I did not ever get to know Alex and it sounds like that was certainly my loss.

I'm very sad to learn of Alex's passing...I never met him...but did speak to him once...a
week or so prior to the US Class Nationals on the phone. Boy did I pick a bad time as
he was in the midst of a camshaft change on the "Moneymaker"....He only had a minute
or two to speak...but straightened me out on a couple of details about the event.....
Unfortunately work got in the way and I was unable to attend...which I regret...

Alex...thank you for your vision and hard work in making that race HAPPEN!!!! And also
for your commitment in serving the racer community....

RIP Alex...prayers to family.
