Comp racer Al Ackerman could use some help at this race at the starting line. He has only his wife with him and she could use a hand when he goes up to run. If anyone knows of someone who could help her, it would be appreciated. They are super nice people.

Looks like a whole of fun being had by some lucky people. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I do have a curiosity question. I noticed on the sheets that have been posted that Justin Lamb is listed with the number 1 on his car. He was the stock champ in 2013 and should not be using this number or is it just a typo.??? It doesn't really matter to me, just curious.

Minute cleanup. About ready to go back to round 1

A few notes on this race. Jim Schaeter had problems with his engine from the start and he was a no show this morning. Gary Summers and Tommy Turner both left before first round. Also no show for first round was Segura and Brett Candies. In super stock Jeff Teuton had a perfect light but got beat. Mike Crutchfield came back from his time in the beach yesterday to win the first round.

Thanks to Troy Pourciau for the beignets yesterday! Still warm whenever they arrived!

Santangelo with the starting line advantage, but took too much stripe to give Bertozzi the win. Bertozzi wins the Cajun SPORTSnationals for the fourth time and second time in Super Stock. This is his 18th National event win.

Yeah ,Joey took a hundredth of a second @ 150 mph ..Doesn't sound too bad to me .

Goes to show that those "professional" weather personnel cannot get it right! Weather has been really nice considering the forecast. Small amount of rain last night and that was it.

Lots of good folks/racers did not come to a race that they really enjoy because of the forecasters. Sad that they were wrong and many did not make the race.

For a wrap up of our "Down South" trip! We are now back home in Kentucky. We had a wonderful time for 6 weeks down south while the weather was awful up here! Thanks to Chris and Keisha and all the folks in the shop for keeping everything going while we were away! (of course they do that when we are here, too, since we are retired now, we just try to stay out of their way!) We really enjoyed seeing and spending time with lots of friends while we were there like the Teutons, Helms, Jim and Pam Marshall, Joe and Alice Tysinger, the Hidalgos and everyone else that we just get to see at the racetrack!!


The weather was really great except for that little streak of cold in Gainesville. Not much rain except for the week that we were not racing. Hopefully we will get a chance to make this trip again next year if the schedule stays close to the same. Although 6 weeks is a long time to be gone! We were ok up to 5, but then we were definitely ready to come home to see family, friends and pets!!
