Re: Original hemi dart information
To the original owners of this LO23 Hemi Dart, THANK YOU for having the wisdom, business sense or just plain smarts to keep these original documents.

Re: Original hemi dart information
You can always tell when the real estate business slows.
I get time to post stuff here. LOL I'll check around and see where else that picture can go. Might have some weekend time with a couple of cold Corona's and look for some obscure N.E. website/sites to post it on. Still hope to be in the "Oh S**t Seat" someday !!! |

Re: Original hemi dart information
Found most of those pics on page 68. You can back up to the discussion there. I am sure there is much more info to go with the pictures..
I hope everyone understands I make no claim to the pictures I am reposting, just trying to keep them alive. |

liteweight The view from over there is pretty good. That woodgrain steering wheel is the actual wheel that Dick Landy used to hang onto while rowin' the gears in his Hemi Dart. I kept this lil momento before I let that car go. Arrangements were made with the next owner for this BTW. Arrangments are made for this wheel to be reunited back to that car when I sell this car. http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6808bfc6.jpg http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...l/HPIM0861.jpg |

"Throw it on there" they said...."You never know"........ they said. Yup......who woulda known............. liteweight http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...t1985_0003.jpg |

Slaughter:
http://www.lakelandraceway.com/image...po_ss_dart.jpg I remember Rick Seeman posting that he had this car at one time but thought Tommy Slaughter had got it from some guy in Tulsa AND that he thought it was still sitting in a garage somewhere. I guess my question is, does anyone have the VIN for the Gator Raider (That I am looking for more pictures of) and could this be it or one of the still lost LO23's? This trail would put it in Louisiana-Oklahoma-Arkansas area. Possible? http://classracer.com/classforum/att...1&d=1465479684 |

The question was (page 309/post#2083) if anyone had a picture of the Gator Raider. Hemi Moose answer is above the picture. So....If the red/white Dart in the background IS the Gator Raider, could the Slaughter Dart be it? If not the Gator Raider....where did the Slaughter car come from? Always looking for one of the "lost ones". Side note: Draglist has a note that the Dennis Oncale "Gator Raider" was a former Vanke car. Did Akron Arlen ever have a LO23 Dart???? Rick Seeman...Where do you think this car is hiding? |

Re: Original hemi dart information
Good man!
So now the question/questions could be, is this the (pre)Gator Raider as noted on Draglist? Is this the red/white car in the staging lane picture at Southland Dragway? Is this the same red/white Dart as the one I found pictures of and is that one really the Slaughter car? Is that before or after Tommy Slaughter owned then sold it to Rick Seeman? Where is it now? Time to send Rick a PM. Found an old post with Rick's member logo. Sent him a PM :) |
Re: Original hemi dart information
Looks like same quarter panel logo / stripe and design on side of roof pillar.
