Re: Original hemi dart information
Impressive !
That's the shortest appropriate response I can think of. (people that know me suggest I talk a lot) lol Hopefully one day I'll be in the passenger seat |
Re: Original hemi dart information
Thanks Charlie.
Ive had my black cloud issues with this thing over the years. Hopefully that motor will be staying on its mounts for a few years now. liteweight |
Re: Original hemi dart information
I agree- most impressive! I thought those heads looked familiar. FHO=awesome stuff. That intake is sweet, too. Although my intake was done by Tom Tignanelli, my engine was done by Dean Nicopolis. Anxious to see how yours runs! Should be terrific.

Hello Hemi Guys,
I have some old 426 rocker arms and shafts that I don't have a use for. Any reasonable offer would be accepted for the whole lot. Shoot me a text to 248-343- five 3 3 nine and I can send pictures. See you at the races, Wayne Kerr |

Thanks Clint. Trying to get it together for the first weekend of June. Wanting to get it to Mopars in The Park for their show. If it were the ONLY thing I had to do from now to then it wouldn't be a problem but................................. I dynoed this lil motor ( its small at 490 cubes compared to what guys are running today lol) a couple years ago pretty much as is but with modified street Hemi Heads. . It went 906hp @ 7200 and 726 ft.lbs @ 5700. But that was with an old Barton sheet metal manifold. I believe one of his first designs. This Nicopolis manifold went 854 hp with one carb pouring raw fuel into the motor and those street Hemi Heads. With these FHO alloys it should surpass the sheet metal manifold numbers. It's gonna be a fun lil "street" motor . I do all my own work on my stuff with only the machining done out of house. I didn't want to put alloy heads on this thing but the street Hemi heads developed a sprinkler effect in one of the exhaust ports. liteweight |

Those numbers are terrific, and all the more impressive that you do everything but the machining yourself! I like to tinker, to be sure, but I leave the heavy lifting to more qualified people like you. |
Re: Original hemi dart information
So is there a possibility of getting yhat ol Dart up to Farmington for that show Clint

No, unfortunately not. Hopefully the Dart will be done by the end of June, maybe... I would still like to come though, maybe with a different car, but that's not looking too hopeful, either. Too much going on at once. Oldest kid graduates high school the weekend before, and I'm already taking a bunch of time off for that. |

Looks like "the ride " is getting ready for "the road".
Still think some Torque Thrust rims would add just a bit of class to it. Hmmm🤔 . Where have I seen a red LO23 like that? http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...psmggiiwxh.jpg http://classracer.com/classforum/att...9&d=1463759472 |

Wonder what wrecked LO23 this was built from??? The article said it had a brush with a wall early in its existence. And did the 4speed in this car come from the Joe Ralph Thompson Dart that the Teuton family owned or from another one of their many Darts/cars? Above article does not say who the previous owner was or give any history on the car. http://www.dragracingscene.com/wp-co...1-1200x798.jpg |
