Re: Connecting Highway
Anyone remember the 72' or 73' Brown Cadillac Coupe DeVille, with the off-white vinyl top.
472 cubed, with the nitrous boost. Damn boat, embarrassed many 'musclecars'. Was from Jackson Heights. PC |

Re: Connecting Highway
Hi carl, small world we live in. What was your fathers name and when did he work there. I worked part time btw 73-75 helping out in the shop and doing maintenance to the dart ( we kept it there as we had an ongoing bill with pete ).

Re: Connecting Highway
Would you mind providing us with the specs of the Dart? Who was driving that race against "Froggy"? Did the Cross Bar Dart only race at 150th/S. Conduit? Art, FINESPLINE, was this a one run only race? Was the race a long time in the planning, or was it a spur of the moment deal?

Re: Connecting Highway
cammer427,
I don't think anybody knew the 72/73 Caddy was 'nitrous oxide enhanced'. His claim was that the engine was rebuilt with a Lunati cam, and it had 3.90 gears. Heard the kid blew it up, going for a land-speed record on the L.I.E. Then the kid came back with a 75' 500 cubed 75' Caddy (rectangle head-lights). It was faster. Just where did this kid come up with these cars, with nitrous injection,, his father was a dentist in Jackson Heights. PC |
