Just curious what significant changes have taken place since 2015?

Life had a different direction for me for the last 10 years. But now I'm at a spot that I'm considering racing again. My thoughts are either going back racing in Stock OR make it a Drag and Drive car. The car has been sitting untouched for years. Obviously, everything that is there will need to be freshened or replaced.

Just some of the questions I have:
1) What major rules have changed over the last 10 years?
2) What can or what should be updated to be competitive based on rule changes over the last 10 years?
3) Are things like digital ignitions & data acquisition a must even on an old school carbureted stocker?

Hydraulic cams can now be solid lifter, roller rocker arms as long as they maintain stock geometry and style mounting. Data acquisition is a good tool but many do not use it. Replacement heads are allowed in some combos. Auto 1-2 is allowed as long as it?s an act of the transmission not an external device or elctric. Larger cam diameter is tolerated.
Pretty much it

ill make this quick

1st there is an automatic horsepower factoring system also know as ahfs automatic help for slugs > penalty for being good at cheating the rules
2nd there is no longer any formal tech you enter online and solemnly swear its a 305 not a 350
3rd as you see there is plenty of wanna be has been keyboard jockeys on here
4th be prepared for some 160mph action in the traps nhra chose not to give the super cars thier own class
5th a second under is a pretty decent run (itll get you a review by ahfs)
6th we always go out at an obscene time like 7am and late like 8pm good luck dialing
7th they gave us unlimited valve springs and rockers sooooo cams / lifters cost more than SS stuff
8th if you wanna run national events pony up $250 x 8 divisionals

glad to have you back :)
