Sorry I haven't been on this site for a while, I bought an old Chrysler-Plymouth-DeSoto dealership in Rockford, IL and it has been taking all my time! If you go to the Carlisle site you will see the Hurst Reunion under the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals that is where you sign-up for the L0/B0 reunion. Yes there will be clone parking in the lot outside the Expo Center, so get your registration in soon! I will be letting you all (northern speak) know what cars are coming soon!

I'm assuming you found that on Facebook. Curious at to what page?

Definitely taken in 1971 at a divisional race in D1, I'm guessing at Maple Grove, looking down at the staging lanes. That might even be at the Dutch Classic?

Good eyes once again Terry. I believe this blue Dart was owned by a guy with the last name of Knight. Cant remember his first name.
If it is then it is Dick Oldfields "Good Guys" Dart

Chrysler had to submit a list of 50 owners names to both the Dart and Barracuda, to qualify for the cars for legal Super Stock.
No 'hanky-panky' stuff...

So, NHRA did have a list of the first 50 owners of the Hemi Dart and
Hemi Barracuda, to verify.

The NHRA must have been amazed, when 35 of these cars showed
up at the 68' Springnationals @ Englishtown.

Paul, I've been reading this blog for years and finally joined because I want to ask about the 35 Hemi Darts and Cudas that showed up at E-town for the 68 NHRA Springnationals. I can name 15 of them. I'm curious if you or anybody else reading this can name the other 20. I sat down and listed as follows: Sox & Martin, Don Grotheer, Arlen Vanke, Bill Stiles, Ed Miller, Chuck Ostrich, Nelson Stoltz, John Hagen, Harold Dutton, Dick Landy, Bill Flynn, Larry Cooper, Mary Ann Foss, Bob Ramstrom and Paul Richardson's cars.

Mopar68 do you still have all your old paperback ETown stuff?

Thank you for your reply, Liteweight. Very sorry to hear about Paul. Clearly, he had a wealth of knowledge and he will be missed by me as well, even though I never met him. As a builder of 1/25th scale drag car models, I've benefited from many of the things that have been shared here. I place a high value on historical accuracy of my models, but since I was only 14 in 1968, I need the help of those who lived it. I've accumulated stacks of car magazines from the glory days of drag racing, and I've narrowed my focus to the Super Stock Mopars that invaded E-Town in June of 68. Paul had said that 35 B029's and L029's showed up for the Springnationals, making 20 more than I knew about. I have the magazine articles on the subject and I think the Sept 68 article in SS&DI was the best. For anybody who's interested, Bee On Video sells a DVD of the Springnationals from 65 thru 68. Considering that it's a gleaning of very old film from amateur photographers, it's excellent. The 68 Springnationals articles I have, are from Car Craft [9/68], Hot Rod [9/68], Popular Hot Rodding [9/68], SS&DI [9/68], Drag Strip [11/68], Rodder & Super Stock [11/68] and American Rodding [12/68]. I wonder if I missed any. I'm hoping someone can help me find some other puzzle pieces. Thank you for welcoming me, and hopefully I can offer something worthwhile to this group.
