Re: Live from Englishtown -- NHRA SuperNationals
Well, I'll give them credit for at least evidently trying to get the race in tonight.

Re: Live from Englishtown -- NHRA SuperNationals
Well I left you guys hangin' -- After I went red by .006 I couldn't think of anything but get on the road and home to my own bed .After that many days of doin' nothing I couldn't stand it anymore .Good news is they kept racing after I left and as you will see from Drag Race Centrals results it was Fast ! So much for hot and sticky after rain days -- good weather blew in around lunch time and just kept getting better all day .
Maybe someone who is still there tomorrow can give us some early results . Later in the week its off to Atco and the Lucas Oil race -- not to mention the Stock / SuperStock Ten Grand deal on Thursday . Before I forget --Today is Gary Parkers birthday and his first official day of retirement -Yep , he hung up his hose for good - Good Luck Gary ! PS-- Little side note about the 'oilers'-- the day got late not because of oilers oiling the track but because the oilers got into the catch net a couple of times . |

Nothstein stopped before the net but Dejoria center punched the catch net pretty hand. The front end was 90 degrees from the rest of the car. All and all in spite of the bad weather things actually went pretty well.Joe Mocci mugged Strange Eng. for $3,500 for the Perfectly Strange award.Way to go Joe Zoom.I gave it away by .004 in the 3rd rd. but at least I'll get a check in the mail. Saw Ray Scardelli's Capri and Joe Martens Camaro.Wow. Ed F. |
Re: Live from Englishtown -- NHRA SuperNationals
Vic Guilmino caught a photo of one of the alcohol funny cars that visited the beach and the first catch net. It was back-to-back 45 minutes downtimes (for net repair).

Tom -
"...........visit to the beach"????? you certainly have a way with words........ have you considered journalism or creative writing as a potential career change? (On a serious note, hopefully no one was injured during those mishaps) |
Re: Live from Englishtown -- NHRA SuperNationals
