I saw the giant wheelstand and had left foot on the brake as well as both hands on the steering wheel, just in case. Roy came over to my brother, later in the day, and gave a sincere apology for ruining my first qualifying attempt. Roy said he only stayed in it to protect the front end from coming down too fast and didn't know he was headed into my lane. My brother said he seemed honest and sincere with the apology. I think that is all we could ask anybody to do under the circumstances. Roy had the car under control for the second run and I wish him a good race!

Marty. I'm just glad you (and your car) are okay. Best of luck the rest of the race!

Like Ken said, it has been hot and humid today!

We had a nice dinner over at the Cottens tonight with some other racers. We should be firmly in the show at #23 right now. I know things will change with the early morning shot and class, but surely we are ok!!

Well, more tomorrow!!

The 426 street wedge makes more sense than the 383. Same heads, camshaft specs and carb (600-625 cfm) and only 11 hp more than the 383 in the same car. 42 cubic inches and it cost only 11 hp?!? I'd take it any day.

Thanks for the "live from" posts, folks.

It was good to at least get to the track last weekend.

Maybe next year.
