Last time I was at Cayuga, I got a bag, threw them on the dash of the truck for a couple of hours, and it was like they just came out of the oven. PHENOMENAL. Just sayin'.

Trade ya for a bag of Snyder's BIG pretzels....not impossible to find up here, but in any event, I wouldn't want the "eternally grateful" period to elapse without the exchange of some love. :)

The shower is singular as in (1). It is located below the big bleachers on the eastside. I've used it a few times.

So I just read back through most of this thread, starting at the beginning, and I just wanted to say I CAN'T WAIT for this race. I think there will be a ton of cars from all over the country, so I hope to meet some new people! Thanks so much Michael for putting this together, only 3.5 months left!

Should I plan for random tear downs, hate to take the car apart when I'm just getting it back together after several years to make this event.

I think we should have a "Get to know our fellow classracers" Get Together.
Like all Stocker Guys somehow introduce themselves to the rest of the Stocker Guys.
We All Basically Know Each Other's Names From Classracer, but to put a face with a name.
How can this be done ????
Any Ideas ????
I'd would like to meet as many racers as i could.

Sounds like a "cook out" idea. Maybe we could get a sponsor for Burger night one night with people circulate and get acquainted....

We have a Racer Appreciation Party scheduled for Saturday night. Tim Worner said they'd bring some VegasFuel Energy Drink, but other than that we do not currently have any sponsors on the shindig. We've been discussing options and will be firming up our plans in the next couple of months. Any help or suggestions is appreciated. Feeding 300+ is going to be a project in itself! We do have the pavilion area where they normally do tech.

Every racer that enters the event will be eligible for a drawing for a chance to win a free TrailerJax.com MAXX (Retail value $1,295!). The winner will be drawn at the Saturday Night Racer Appreciation Party!

National Trail Raceway is an NHRA-owned facility, and the collector tether rule is in the NHRA Rulebook, General Regulations section, so it is supposed to be relevant to any car with removable collectors.

Since the vast majority of our customers coming to the Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals are NHRA cars to begin with, you should already have them, and I'd encourage anyone to check out www.collectortethers.com, as they are a contingency sponsor at our event as well as other NHRA events.

If you have any questions or concerns about the collector tether rule, I would encourage you to call me at 440-415-3541, e-mail beard@looserocker.com, or PM me here.

Re: Class Nationals event planning

Don't forget to keep tabs on the dedicated SS/K Shootout thread for updates, as Ed Carpenter has been hard at work adding sponsors for his class! http://classracer.com/classforum/showthread.php?t=48910

Remember that anyone can put together sponsors for a Class, and we will advertise for those sponsors. We could still use some help with covering the Quick 32 purses. Sloan Racing Engines, Heads-Up Cylinder Heads, Whitaker Racing Engines and Carrier (Legacy HVAC/Matt Alvery) and of course our Quick 32's sponsor Quick Fuel Technologies have been awesome. If support for the Quick 32's exceeds the posted guaranteed purses, we'll add to the purse! This is THE performance showcase -- what other engine builders will step up with a few bucks and claim bragging rights?

Folks, with even a low estimate of our projected car count, the total cash purse, prizes, and contingency postings are now over $93,000!

Stephen Johnson, I happen to have played the Bagpipes for years. Just laughing at the possibility of a group of racers sitting around playing guitars, violins, and tamborines. I guess if we did it growing up when the folk singing was big who cares...

That's correct. We put that information out there early summer of last year, and it's been noted on the event flyer from day 1, along with a link to www.nhraracer.com - click on Competition Number Applications" for IHRA License Transfers.

NHRA HP Ratings wherever possible. (obviously the IHRA-specific classes like Crate Motor, Pure Stock, etc will use IHRA specs)

Add .30 to your current NHRA index. - which puts the 99% of the indexes back to where they were several years ago, matching the IHRA indexes. Crate Motors subtract .10. EFI, Trucks, FWD cars run in the NHRA classes. "New Factory Racecars" (COPO, DragPak, Cobra Jet), will utilize their regular weight breaks and HP factors, but will be separated from "traditional" Stockers by adding an "FX" designation in front of their regular class.

Hey, at least he forgot to demand AMMUNITION! Alex will be armed solely with his sharp wit. If you can outrun his scooter (on foot) in a best 2 out of 3, any DQ's will be considered null and void.

Which part of the story is true? Oh, maybe Dave *was* still racing back in the late '90s. ;-)

Man! I don't even have 7" tires on the Turismo anymore! Now that would make things interesting.
