And second I have some committments too, having not seen my lady for several weeks and she thinks I should get rid of the car, so I need to spend some time convincing her that she is as important to me as is the car, and Drooze can't go without me and the most important component in our race venture; my wallet! Re: DP #24 Drooze, Mandie & Pop shooting for Vegas
Only had one kid because of concerns about that...
As for Mandie, she is currently on the road with Drooze again down to West "by God" Virginia to pick up our original tow vehicle which lost something inside the motor while towing our broken drag pak back from Atlanta. That was after we broke the trailer and had to go back to Virginia a couple weeks later to pick it up. Morons in Virgina who fixed the trailer, forgot to hook up brakes, so went back to have it done. We later discovered they also didn't replace the shackle and leveler which were worn through from dragging with broken axle. The shackle broke in West Va, and we temporarily fixed it, and then the brakes stopped working again later and we have yet to fix them. So maybe Drooze really is bad luck...... I was scheduled to go with him to pick up the old truck, when Mandie said she would like to go. Once Mandie was set to go, Drooze told me I didn't look up to the trip since I had chemo yesterday, and he thought I should rest up... I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night! So I am not fooled that he enjoys Mandie's company more than mine, or that I, as a third wheel, might just cut into the younger folks fun. Mandie is great helper as well as a bright and funny gal. She probably would cost me less money than Drooze, so maybe when they get back, I will see about that suggestion. And now after starting to pull the headers on the car so we can pull the engine and see how it looks inside, but since Drooze thinks I don't look good today, I think I will just go home and take a nap... Good idea. Save the tough stuff for the kids. Works for me, if the kid comes around but I think he's catching on. Take care of youself, that has to come first.

Mr. David, I have spoken to Drooze a good bit as you know and I can promise you you are not the third wheel and he enjoys your company more than you know. You have a great son and he has an awesome dad. Wish I would have had the opportunity to spend time with my dad like he has with you. Cherish every moment and I am honored to have you both as my friends. |
