How could I forget the 1957 "Rocket Ship".....that car is wicked fast. I am sure I have missed others.

Speaking of "Rocket Ships"....I don't remember Randall Klein racing there, but he probably did. If I missed him, I am sorry.

One of my best memories was telling John Wilson that Richard Charbenau (SP) reset the record...(when we were running off records)....John was a quiet kind of guy....John had his Black Max Wedge 4 speed car and went out and lowered the record a little just to keep things in order...LOL

Same car. my boss at my part time job owns the car now,still has the Olds rear end, it has been rebuilt, my boss has all the mechanical work done, he plans to keep the exterior as is, he is still looking for photos of the car, I was able to find a photo of the car racing at thunder valley in the 80s. only the front end is shown on the photo

Aug 24th will be test and tune 3 pm to 11 pm,, car show and drag race will be sunday Aug 25th, I plan to have my 57 chevy in the show, my boss plans to run the CAPN CRUNCH SUPER CAMARO in the drag race portion of the show

I see that the Topeka LODR is August 23-24 (Friday - Saturday),,,,,Then Indy, then Earlville LODR September 6. For those of us that need to travel a distance, there is a possibility of getting a number of races in with one trip, plus see some old friends (I'm old, so if they are my friends....they are old too...LOL) We will have to see how things go.

Here is a photo of the Capn Crunch Camaro in the staging lanes at Thunder Valley, photo looks like it was taken in the late 70s. Still lookin for information and more photos of the car. If you enlarge the photo there are names painted on the panel between the back and side glass. We would like help in figuring out the names so when the car gets re painted the correct names go back on the car.

Check out this photo I got from a facebook site, the wagon next to the camaro is the same wagon that raced at Cornhusker I also have a photo of the car in the staging lanes at Thunder Valley SD

Recent photos of another car that raced at Cornhusker. I believe it won the last WCS event there in Modified.
