Re: Sliding through the lights trying to stage
Throwing of rounds has always gone on, I have a picture of Joe Scott Holding a check and an IHRA Ironman for a race he threw in Tulsa OK, the year 1994, yes he got RU, left with a lot of money and the trophy. The good thing was that person didn't win the points.

Yep, same thing happened to me in the semis at Gainesville with a bye into the final. Twisted the clutch hub in the quarters. The car stopped moving 10 feet from the starting line when it hit the sticky. My car, Jimmy Bridges driving in SS/L |

Charles, Charley, Chuck........... Comments, concerns, questions? I do believe an apology is in order to all for men that you questioned their character and ethics.

Re: Sliding through the lights trying to stage
In Vegas, Etter broke before the semis and couldn't stage for the semis, not the final. That's why no runner up money because he technically didn't win the semis and make it to the final.
In Salt Lake, Lambeck ran fine in the semis winning the round and earning his way into the final round where he would collect runner up money whether he showed up or not. These are apples and oranges scenarios. I only bring this up because there's an awful lot of "I told you so" going on from the Lamb crowd where nothing has really been proven either way other than yet another plausible scenario. If it was me and I was broken but the car would still move, I'd stage that sucker and hope he went red. Any way you slice it, there was some type of arrangement made before the final round between Lambeck and Lamb. Only a couple of people will probably ever know if it was nefarious or innocent. |

Re: Sliding through the lights trying to stage
Exactly what Racin Mason said. I don't claim to know what went on I just know what appeared to have happened, and based my decision about the run with Lambeck on what the DRC author wrote. Yall are just as guilty as me when someone comes up here claiming to know the deal everyone jumps on that band wagon demanding an apology from Downey. How can someone say they know the deal, because they were told so. Yeah right, there's only 2 people that know the real deal.

Re: Sliding through the lights trying to stage
Anybody bothered to ask Mr. Lambeck about it, before bad mouthing him?
