I must be crazy but I am going to drive 1400 miles just to watch and be a part of the class nationals. I missed the original and last year. I am getting old(71 today )and I am not going to miss this one. Maybe next year I will be there as a participant. I plan on taking lots of photos and will post them to photobucket or something like that. Hope say hi to Class Racer members and a few old friends.

Weather sounds great. I drove the 2200 miles from Cali home to Tn home and then to OHIO for Mopar Nats 2 weeks ago. I am coming to Columbus again this week. i can't wait. I have to change my signature working on my TA Challenger for C,D/S.
I will have on a white hat and a red Bob Mazzolini racing shirt. Say hi.

We have a tough schedule here in Div 2. most of our races are back to back early in the year. I ran 5 races in 7 weeks. We are pretty much done with the first part of our season before yours gets started. One minor problem with the car or equipment and you miss several races. Happens to some each year. I think you were looking at either Atlanta or Montgomery. Neither are very popular venues historicaly. Especially in the heat. Our division director is not the best and could do some changes to the schedule to improve the car counts. I would bet that a Southern class nationals would attract a pretty good count in the south if scheduled properly. Like I said I was just hoping.

Guys just a heads up to everybody coming, please try to make sure your class is clearly printed on your tech card as myself and the staff are going to try to have class ladders made up and want to make sure everyone is in the right class.

Also...........if you go through tech and Do Not make a hit before class (1st round of qualifying) you will be put at the bottom of the sheet at 28.000.

(I'm thinking out loud and typing, might have more later, lol)

Yep, forecast looks good.
Friday partly cloudy should be great for class run-offs.

Yup, Weather Underground keeps revising the high temps cooler as well: just like the Weather Channel data you posted above: 77, 80, 84, and with a bit of a breeze on tap, it's going to be GORGEOUS. Gotta look at the hourly forecasts, too! At 9AM each day, it's going to be 61, 61, and 64! You could not ask for a better August forecast for racing!

Speaking of 9AM, just like last year, set your Stocker Alarms for early and plan to have them warmed up and ready to go. We will make the call for Stock at 8:40, and "9AM start" means two in the puddle doing burnouts at 9AM sharp! Run order all weekend: Stock, Super Stock, Nostalgia/SS.

Reminder: Rob Jackson from Robzneed4speed Videos will be providing the race coverage for the Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals this year. Look him up on Facebook, and check out his channel on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChM...nk9JtChdhnf3cw

I don't think you're crazy, Gary. 3 of us flew out from Seattle last year for the inaugural blast and had a ball. Make sure you're there when the gates open each day,,, lots of hand shaking and greeting to do before they call the cars up! Take lots of photos and video,,, we still look at ours all the time. You'll enjoy this event,,, make sure you say hello to the 'ol gal at the finish line store too.
