Chris and Bill: You are correct. I don't know where I got that from. Maybe common sense says bumper draggers need wheelie bars?

All that set aside, I would never run that guy. I like my car too much to risk it.

Thank you Kevin for your insightful reports, but tone it down a little Ken will be expecting big things from us amateurs!

On a positive note regarding wheelstands...Steve Ficacci put his great looking D/Stick Camaro almost on the bumper in Q3 this morning, grabbed 2nd gear in the air, kept it straight and ran a 10.46 (if I remember correctly). It was awesome... I'm sure pictures will appear soon!

I want to say THANKS to all the people who have made this thread FUN. The photos of racers and their cars, the videos and the comments about the action at INDY.

I assume Roy Hill is O.K. after his altercation with the wall. Roy has been doing this for a very long time and is an accomplished racer. Every high horsepower car has the potential of getting loose or going sky high. Fortunately no one got hurt or worse, and the car can be fixed.

Let's keep this thread about the live action from the U.S. Nationals at Indy. Yes, that includes discussion about wheelstands, but not about the rules or who needs driving lessons, or wheelie bars.

All you reporters are doing a great job. Kevin, thanks for the blow by blow.

I know ya'll are busy but could someone get a picture or two of Jim Hale's '64 Fury?

Thanks a lot,

JimR

On any run anything can happen!

Is there video of Roy's second run?
