The track sucks
The NHRA/track crew don't know ***** about prepping a track
Ah crap another summer downpour
Feel free to add anything I've missed.

It's never to hot for me Ed so you'll never hear me complain....
My car hooks in my backyard.....
NHRA and Bob Lang usually do fine. I watch them working at the crack of dawn ....
Some summer showers are unavoidable but if the sun comes out we're golden....

The hottest event I can recall was at Numidia around 2003 or 2004.....I was running S/C ......air temps were 96-98 with DA well over 4000' .......I went .002 red around rd 4 cause my brain was overheated and I staged like a dork.......I sat in the lanes too long and the sun definately was tough to fight off at that race.........

I would prefer the heat anyday.......some of my best days were when it was blisteringly hot......

P.S. Yankees are down 3-0 but it's early.......and I have more beer! LOL

Rich,

Now it's 5-0 Rangers-the Yankees have the Rangers right where they want them (or at least that score early worked out well for the Yankees last night). Still you gotta worry about the Yankees starting pitching. Can the bullpen always keep the Rangers of the scoreboard? And boy do I wish the Sox ever had David Murphy back-I wonder which semi-pro team Eric Gagne is pitching for this month.

5-1 Dave.....Yankee pitchers have been terrible the last month ++.....and they are still winning!.....Texas is a good team and this will be a very tough series......

I have to admit I bailed out last night after the Yankees were down 5-0. Sleep sounded better than watching them lose....I woke up today and said to myself they won before I turned on the news....and thats NO B.S. Expecting them to keep doing that is not realistic......spotting Texas 5 runs is not usually going to work........Rich

We hijacked this thread but I love Yankee baseball more than racing...LOL

I agree with you Ed - and I would prob be one who wouldn't prefer eighth mile to a resched. I ran eighth only once and its just over too damn quick....
I wouldn't risk life or limb though... I'll bet they considered it at the original race but if they were concerned about the track, it peob was a moot point,

BTW great job at the keystones.. I was listening in at home.... & pullin for you. Its cool listening in when they go round robin.

Thanks Angelo. The round robin thing is good in that you don't get any time to over think what you're doing. It's a pain though when i'm trying to take my weather #s and they're rushing you.
