Re: Radial Tire Top End Violent Wobble At Deceleration
I've been racing with bias front tires and radial rear tires for years and never experienced this wobble. I
ve heard that said before not to mix them, but I believe it's more of a "wive's tale" than anything, at least for racing. |
Re: Radial Tire Top End Violent Wobble At Deceleration
Yup, seems if it were a problem, someone would have a radial front runner.

Re: Radial Tire Top End Violent Wobble At Deceleration
The only time I had that problem with radials was when I didn't have them on wide enough wheels. Seems they need wheels about an inch wider than the tread, regardless of what the catalog lists.

Re: Radial Tire Top End Violent Wobble At Deceleration
Rusty, I went through exactly what you are talking about all last year. The only thing we changed was went from Hoosier Radials to GoodYear Radials. Last race out was our first race with the good yrs no wabble what so ever seem to fix the problem! good luck
