I guess I must be off base. I thought most racers wanted more runs, not less.

Yeah, we want race, not time trials for 2 or 3 days. That's what the test and tune days are for that most tracks have the day before a divisional.

It always sucked when you'd spent Friday and Saturday qualifying, only to have Sunday rain out. I'm glad some races are now Friday/Saturday, with a Sunday rain date.

2 runs one day racing the next is how big races like that work. 2 runs should be enough if you are showing up ready to race anyway.

as far as the top fuel bikes.... If they let in 12 vehicles that happen to draw more heads than the entire stock/super stock group it only makes financial sense. And in times like this, if you want a place to race at all, you shouldn't be complaining about promotors trying to draw people into the stands.

it looks like everyone from top alcohol to super street got two runs, i'd called that about as fair as it gets.

and on the note of people in the stands, that benefits you too.

oh wow... and the comment about out of division racers in your division.... these guys are racing for national and divisional championships, they spend more time and money than you and i both, and they deserve every shot at it for all the hard work they put in. in fact, they deserve it more.

Take a deep breath and step back and look at the big picture.

Could not have said it better my self. Just a thought 2 runs to set up a stop up to run.90 in weather you dont no. I would reather take 2 runs no stop n put a dile on the window. 2 time runs how about 1 and a second round buy back. Buy back cash goes to the pot now we just fixed the payout prob. LOL that shuld piss some people off..........

With just two qualifying runs, how does anybody get the chance to set a record yet still be prepared in "bracket mode" for eliminations? Remember, at least Super Stock and Stock were designed as "performance based" classes...............

Complaining about the Vegas Points meet,to me seems to be a mute point. The cars counts and schedule have been close to the same since Vegas became the final Division race of the season, instead of Phoenix. Everyone should know what to expect,so if you don`t want to sit through 850 race cars, get two quatlifying hits on Friday and first round on Saturday, then plan your `09 schedule around it. It`ll be the same thing next year.

If you know your car you don't even need a time shot I don't

Chad ....I was referring to making moves on the ladder to try and get a heads up not running from them.

CFR knows the game................

I totally agree, S/SS is a performance based class. For racers that do not race in the S/SS ranks, a Divisional is just another another bracket race. Therefore, they could care less about time trials.
