I've never clutched mine. It does go right in. I don't clutch it while driving thru the pits. I haven't met anyone yet who clutches there car. We like to break stuff as Ed Wright would say. I hope you find a car. ED

"Was on Racing Junk and saw a nice F/S 69 Camaro but $30k sounds awfull high for what you would get".

JLTefft1, if you are refering to the white w/ orange stripe '69 Camaro, it is the cleanest car you will find for the money. I drove it. It shifts smooth, (clutchless), and is an overall nice car. It may not be the fastest, but it wouldn't take much. The owner works with me.

Hi jltefft1 ! I was the first one to respond to your post and i was going to mention i had a car for sale but just felt like i was takeing advantage of a newbe, so to speak! I have a 70 Ply RR or GTX 440, 6 pak w a Pro/Trans, and a Dana, the car can run in A/SA,B/SA,C/SA..The engine is fresh, the trans is fresh, the convertor is fresh from ATI, the tires are new , slicks are new (6pases ago)! Has run 1.00 under with ease! Built by Tri-City Compition, in Breckenridge, Mi. There's alot more great parts in the car. It's a really hard hooking car. Thanks for your time, John Lang The price is 28.500.00

Re: considering getting back into racing--many questions

To all who responded Thank You!! Great information and much appreciated. Big step for me to get back into something I grew up doing and especialy when retirement is just a few short years away. I will be doing this out of my own pocket and no one will be helping with the car. I will be posting again with questions about a budget for racing. Thank you all again and be gratefull for being able to do what you love to do!! Take NOTHING for granted. Jim
