Re: Dead Beat Contingency Providers
This may be slightly off subject, but does anyone else think that if a company is a cont. sponsor and you win/ru and the N or I hra has verified your cont. why should'nt you leave the race with a check for all your money? I really think since the sanctioning body made the deal with these companies that they should have an account with each company to pay the racer on the spot, I mean we don't get to "send a check" when ever we feel like it to buy the parts or to enter a race for that matter. Just seems like everything else it's pass the buck time, sorta like dealing with many sorts of collection, if they put you off long enough maybe you'll just give up. Just my opinion, Joe

Re: Dead Beat Contingency Providers
Crane had a MAJOR layoff announced just before the PRI show.

Re: Dead Beat Contingency Providers
Suprised no one mentioned BG Fuel Pumps as a poor.
I'm switching to Aeromotive just because of that this year on my Super Stocker. Mickey Thompson, Jeg's, Nitro Plate, Impact, Haulmark, Coan have all been quick from my experience. |

Re: Dead Beat Contingency Providers
I agree with you Joe B. All contingency providers should be required to have the contingency money paid to the NHRA/IHRA prior to any event for which they will pay a contingency. At the conclusion of an event, the NHRA/IHRA pays the money to the winner/runner-up. It could be very easy to administrate. Problem
is the powers that be get their money up front and don't want to kill the golden cash goose. Why should they be concerned whether we get our money fast, slow, or not at all. They have theirs. If that were me, I would be taking care of the guys that support me every event by getting the prize money in their hands as quickly as possible. |
