Re: Question about 3.2A/1 pants
I`m pretty sure what they`re meaning is not allowing the use of shorts only, and the nylon type "sweat pants" were disallowed a couple of years ago to go over your shorts. Reguar cotton sweats, jeans or pajamas are ok with the lower classed cars, and I`d bet you can have a pair of shorts on under the fire pants.

Re: Question about 3.2A/1 pants
The real downside to this ruling is "Homer" Gil Cardy Jr. will have to wear something other than his Golf sweat pants (18 holes) during competition. This may be a benefit to others by changing his luck.

Re: Question about 3.2A/1 pants
I could be wrong but I don't think the "full lenght pants" in the rule book refers to what you wear under your racing pants. I've always worn shorts under mine, put the racing pants on in staging lanes while talking to some officials I think they would have said something if that was not allowed. Myself I'd call your Div. office to get a clarification. Joe P.S. hello Mr. Fain Hope you're doing well!

Thanks Joe for the well wishes...same for you too, and your crewchief. Keep that lettle Ford buzzin' and jack up the pressure in those injector squirters.

Re: Question about 3.2A/1 pants
Try a Fawnskin thong with, or without fringes, they're both just as comfortable.

That's disturbing. Joe

Re: Question about 3.2A/1 pants
Does anybody have any recommendations as to the most "comfortable" brand?
I got an XL RCI for Christmas.Just tried them on now.EXTREMELY uncomfortable over blue jeans.Very tight in the thigh area. Also, are you allowed to hem the legs if they are too long,or does that "disqualify" them as being safe? The legs are about 6-8 inches too long, and I think I need a bigger size.I don't think I can drive very well with these, and I couldn't drive very well last year without them. |
Re: Question about 3.2A/1 pants
My RJS fit well and have enough room. I washed them 2x in Woolite and that made them somewhat softer, more pliable. The legs have elastic cuffs so if long, you could let them be baggy with the cuffs at your ankles. You can find the size chart here:
