I like what you said Adger, :-) Thats about it too. I just might make a long list of things to check and then go to the LAST ONE! Isn't that how it goes. We hope to figure it out on Sat. Thanks for the replys guys! Really appreciate it. Eric

Is this a Superstocker? If so, another idea to toss around is a wedge carb spacer.

I had that same problem many years ago. As soon as it came down there was that ever so slight hesitation then it picked up & ran strong to the end. It turned out I needed that wedge plate as Jeff mentioned in the previous post. Probably was starving the secondaries at the top but I did not notice until it landed.
