Re: Syracuse,New York Cars
Agreed.
First occurrence of Baalzebub: 2 Kings1: "the god of ekron" First occurrence of Beelzebub: Matt 10:25: "master of the house" Nice looking at scripture with you, Mr. Lee unusual name for a race car, lol |
Re: Syracuse,New York Cars
Christ made rather quick work of the dominion of the devil with His finished work on the cross. The powers of darkness and of all the fallen cohorts were doomed from that point on. Any of the fallen angels and the darkness they contain is absolutely nothing in comparison, so beelzebub and anybody else named in Old Testament antiquity as a fallen angel is a very moot point. People ask me if the dark underworld scares me at all. I say,No. There is a much quoted New Testament Gospel account of a man living in a cemetery who had legions of demons. Jesus simply said,"Come Out!" and they ran screaming into a herd of swine who all promptly fled over a cliff to their destruction. Jesus sure made that look easy, simply because He unleashed the mighty power of His name. Sounds like resurrecting the names of darkness, be it on a race car, a movie, a rock band or whoever is an activity with no future.

the first usage of tht name far out dates the scriptures. This shows that the authors were aware of this god. |

Should have read:
So was Jesus. Beelzebub was on the long list of defeated foes at the crucifixion and the resurrection of Christ. |
