Re: Opinions on stocker 30x9 radial slicks
I never ran screws and never had a problem. But the slicks may rotate several inches through the first several runs, then "settle in". I put a shoe polish mark on the tire next to the valve stem to gauge any movement. Swapping tires from side-to-side between races could help get it back closer to the original location. If you are nit-picky, you can always check the balance again after it "settles". But it's usually not noticable.

Re: Opinions on stocker 30x9 radial slicks
I have a set of Cragar Draglites (10" wide) that I run and the Hoosiers always slip on them. I asked the Hoosier guys and they said put screws in them. I did, problem solved. Other racers use the same tire, same rim no screws and they never move. I'd try no screws first, follow Myron's tire marking proceedure and see what they do.
