They do list Stock & SS on their site. The track is a good one, the problem I saw was people dont know its there. Until Pinks I dont think the place was ever full to over flow like it was. Also there was never any kind of advertising done by the track managers. Things could get a lot better, let just see what comes down. I personally wish them great success.

I think alot of racers are starting to see "outside the box" regarding the NHRA. All the NHRA is wanting, are the Pro's. They dont care about the sportsman series. It looks like they do, but do you guys really think that they care? Just throwing that question out there. I think that they just have to put up with the series. Kinda like a red headed step child.

I noticed you left IHRA out of your post is there a reason for that?

I didnt mention the IHRA because I havent had any dealings with them nor have I ever ran at a IHRA sanctioned track. So I do not know how their events are ran or how they treat their racers. Thanks for asking.

WHAT.....Me partial to NHRA....LOL, HA Ha Ho Ho Heh Heh.....I worked for them (NHRA) in 1974-75 (35 years ago) and I couldnt stand the "Gastopo" Tatics of the time frame. I know some of the new tech guys and they are much better now. . I went with IHRA because of the more racer friendly atmosphere. Where would you get a crazy idea like that? I just mentioned the AHRA thing as I remember the "Bracket" car style of cars from the past with tires hanging out of the fenderwells, Mail box hood scoops, lawn chair seats, missing inner fender pannels, and generally "Fugly" cars with a class for everything including lawn mowers....lol. AHRA was a booked in Fuel show with the rest as a filler. Not ALL of the cars belong in a junk yard but the majority did. You must have me mixed up with someone else.

You should of been at Epping this year for the so called pro show With the snow mobiles that were part of the so called pro show that were put ahead of the sports men racers
That was a real circus show....
Or a dog and pont show ....
Ihra racing at its best...
Who knows maybe this AHRA will be something in the future
Right now the class act is still NHRA
It seems to me to be the most credible of the 3

I agree....since Bill Bader sold out and left it has turned into a dog and pony show. Sorry Danny but thats how most guys I know see it these days. Im not so sure that its NHRA thats the class act but rather I think its mostly the stock and S/S racers that I know racing NHRA who are the real class acts themselves.

Re: AHRA comes to Division Four

i ran some AHRA back in the 70s, i think it will be better this time. i believe they will incorporate NHRA and IHRA s/ss cars and some comp cars. look for a mod field with no breakout possibly for those interested. i know nothing, just a gut feeling. if they do not than they have not much different to offer.

i raced AHRA for many years, and have missed it.
