Re: Online Rulebook
Hmmm.....I had to think about that for a minute, but I like that, I can load it on my Phone, its a PDA style Motorola, thats a good idea....
Not like I wont still get a paper copy but I end up buying a couple anyway, between losing them, dunking them in degreaser as they fall from my shirt pocket.....etc. (Ive caught one on fire by accident once...) So have I with my phones as well but those are insured :) Quote:

Re: Online Rulebook
I am currently not a NHRA member, just looking for the copy of the book as an aid in building the car. If someone is willing to send me the PDF file it would be greatly appreciated.

Become a member like the rest of us and pay for the rule book.

Re: Online Rulebook
the following is on the NHRA website where you access the PDF file:
"IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. BY USING THIS SITE YOU AGREE: Access to the NHRA Member website and to the NHRA Rulebook Online is FOR THE NHRA MEMBER ONLY. Your password MAY NOT BE SHARED. NHRA Members found to be sharing passwords may have site access denied, suspended or terminated, as determined exclusively by NHRA. ACCESS TO, THE PRINTING OF AND/OR THE DOWNLOAD OF THE NHRA RULEBOOK IS FOR THE NHRA MEMBER’S OWN USE ONLY. You may not directly or indirectly sell, resell, give away, rent, transmit, retransmit, post (including on your personal website), copy, modify, adapt, translate, exhibit, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, reverse engineer, decompile or dissemble, or in any way exploit, the NHRA Rulebook, in whole or in part. The NHRA Rulebook is protected by copyright, trademark and all other applicable intellectual property laws, and is owned by the National Hot Rod Association. NHRA also owns the copyright in the selection, coordination, arrangement and modification of the NHRA Rulebook content, as well as in the content original to it. You do not acquire any ownership rights by downloading NHRA’s copyrighted material." I might add that being able to talk with the Division Tech Directors is also very valuable if you are building a car. There will almost certainly be decision points that are not completely clear in the written rules. |
Re: Online Rulebook
Personally, I like having the rulebook online and in a PDF format. Works better for me. But a lot of people do not like it this way. They should give each racer the option.

Re: Online Rulebook
I'm with Lee on this one. I like having it as I can almost always access a computer if I'm off somewhere and need to look at something and I have it downloaded as PDF file on all three computers I use(work, home and shop). I can also keep and print just what I need instead of having to keep up with a dang book. JMT.
