Try this....turn the car around and back into the starting line, put her in reverse and leave at wide open throttle and see if it lifts the front...rear..er the wheels...bitchin dude!

Well, later that weekend I did smoke the right-rear tire trying to get stopped... I don't think it daylighted it, though. ;)

That was my first-ever elimination round of Stock, and dad caught it on camera. Wasn't running the index in qualifying, then Rusty Canfield gave us some tuneup tips, and it picked up about .12 or so!

I found that one last night too, but I was looking for another all motor car, I believe Scott Kelley that did the same thing. I searched about every forum I am, for 20 mins an couldn't find it! That never happens!

There was a picture of Scott Kelley doing that same thing at an nhra national event in the 'dragster' a couple of years ago. Must of had quite the pucker power, something about the diff locking up

My conclusion was the ladder bar setup didn't keep the rear tires planted as well as the 4 link so it was necessary to keep more weight on the rear tires to limit the spin.

It sure was fun doing the big wheelies though!!

Bryan stood this car practically on its end at Pomona a few years ago,and it's hard to envision just how long a '71 monte Carlo is until you see just how tall this one got. I'm sure the only thing he could have seen out the windshield was an approaching Cessna heading for Brackett Field across the street. It was the world record wheelstand in anyone's memory.
