Mark, Jerry,
I feel you guys are right on.. The Sand baggers real performance don't show up in Joe's stats. Most of them don't expose themselves or show their potential, except in testing or an occasional Class Run. It might be interesting to see how this tread plays out in relation to Joe's stats. Mark... how about "Inside, not Curve"?

Adger, Maybe we can keep this going until after the last weekend in January, and update it then. That was a change up.

My money is on Joe,Nitro's stats may not show everything but I'd say Joe has the incrementals he needs to estimate how fast some cars could go. It's not to hard to figure out when you look at MPH during elims. you've got higher classed cars running 10-20 mph slow for their ET.and it's not hard to figure out who dials soft when they run dead on to .01-.02 above and MPH varies 5-10MPH.over 5-6 rounds.I must stink at driving cause I only run consistent flat out,and I can't judge to tighten up to .003 at the stripe, maybe there is special brakes that scrub off all that MPH without changing ET,LOL

Scroll down the U.S. Nationals Class Winner list to find the fastest in each class. Everybody else talks big with fish stories....

Friendly racer,

That's a good theory but hardly true. With over 800 superstockers in the country and only 160-170 entered at Indy I'd be willing to bet that some of the 600+ not entered could easily give some of the class winners a run. I can think of of a few that weren't at Indy this year.

Maybe . How about at the Mile High?

First you'll have to set the record and go through teardown, so we'll know what that thing is worth.

I'll try to leave you a few hundredths to work with.

Gee wiz Mark, Denver? Nope, I was thinking the winter nats :-), And I have set the record and been thru teardown (aug @ Portland national open). It would be nice of you to let me have a tenth or so at the tree though. I assume you will be driving right? Should we go best two out of three? Any one wanna make a side bet?
