Re: Difference between Clutched and Clutchless transmissions
Besides, you would have to have a screw loose to put a Lenco in if you had a good clutchless alternative. (in a SSer) LOL.

"you would have to have a screw loose to put a Lenco in if you had a good clutchless alternative" what if you already own a 5 speed Lenco, and clutch setup.

Re: Difference between Clutched and Clutchless transmissions
I still don't think clutchless should be allowed in SS or Stock, but no one asked me. Planetary definately not although they seem to work well. Sorry for the bracket car video.
BTW: This guy runs a Liberty clutchless in his fast car. EX C/A Probe. http://www.streetfire.net/video/Wick...ord_166416.htm |
Re: Difference between Clutched and Clutchless transmissions
Stick cars of all types are cool. I think Bracket cars get to choose any index and any transmission.

Re: Difference between Clutched and Clutchless transmissions
I think it was James video and lack of movement (visible to the eye that is) of his left leg that finally pushed NHRA to allow clutchless trannies! :D
ooops, never mind. His is a stocker. Like I said, it was only with micro imaging and video enhancement techniques that some of us were able to see that left foot move on the shifts. |
Re: Difference between Clutched and Clutchless transmissions
