How about we say congratulations Scott! Scott & his dad Larry are good racers and better people. They have worked hard to get that Scion (Toyota) deal and it's nice to see them get some exposure. It's also good for all of us Sportsman racers.

I'm impressed! And the sponsorship potential could be huge!

Here are the specs on my flying brick ...

The engine is a Normally Aspirated 4 cylinder, 2595 cc's or 158 c.i. - Injected on methanol.

The engine is in the stock location (transverse) and we use a stock Scion transmission case, 5 speed with a close ratio gear stack.

The car is a tube chassis with exact duplicate body parts from a Scion xB. Per the SS/EX rules (11.5 lbs per c.i.) the car weighs 1825 lbs. with me in it.

Here are the incrementals from our best run in Vegas ...

'60 - 1.42
'330 - 4.07
'660 - 6.32 @108.11
'1000 - 8.30
'1320 - 10.00 @ 132.27

Like Brett said above, this is very good for the Super Stock class overall. Having a manufacturer involved at out level is huge and if we can get NHRA to promote our class for what it is ... the true factory hot rods, we can grow our class and have a true mix of new and older technology!

If anyone has any other questions feel free to ask, I will be happy to share!

Very impressive......and it sure isn't any uglier than a '55 or '56 Chevy or GMC panel truck was, and plenty of those were made into 1/4 mi. racers! Best of luck and success with it......WJ

I have a question, like a lot of toyota owners do these days do you call the state police to stop at the finish line, it seems alot of toyota owners have problems with this these days!

Way to be different Scott! And you're right, more positive exposure is very good for the sportsman classes.

I'm betting driving something shaped like that going 10 flat and front wheel drive is a real handful!
