Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!
I have a mop in my closet that has more personallity then Rick.
Buster can't be replaced. Greg |
Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!
Buster is a tough act to follow, whoever at NHRA in the exec level picked this guy to replace Buster should and could have made a better selection........

Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!
Bill Floyd..aka "Red Man in the house"....whenever running a starting line, is a racer's friend.

Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!
I don't know if I would call him a dork , but he has a total lack of personality ! As in he has none ! When he does his shut'em down thing, with the knife across the throat thing, I could just crap !...........I had to voice my opinion,,,,,,,John

Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!
We have Rick Stewart at the start, he rushes you to stage, makes a BIG FOOL out of himself & the NHRA with his antics, THEN to add insult to injury, we have Gary Gerald at the end who can't wait to interview you and talk about all the NEGATIVE things: how you can deal with your loss, your crash, your fire, points loss, tragedy, etc. People like this we don't need to represent us drag racers.

Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!
I think we all miss Buster Couch and Steve Evans. Buster was great to see at the start of a race and Steve was great to see at the end of a race.

Another one is Bret Kepner...always did great interviews. ESPN needs to take Lewis Bloom (Statguy) out of the truck and put him into the booth..he's the real deal....nothing like Louie announcing at a D1 race...he's the best !!!! |
Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!
I agree, Lewis Bloom should have a more prominate role in the telecasts, his knowledge runs circles around Paul Page. And Rick Stewart is an attention *****, all his stupid gestures, and actions are embarrasing.

Re: Nhra starter is a dork!!!!!
And he's not a big fan of us sportsman racers.
