I like some of the smart aleck comments posted, lol. Seriously though there has been many changes over the years to squeeze out a couple more tenths out the engines, with high tech engine components, transmissions, or on the cars suspension. Some of the $$$ money these guys spend on their cars today is unreal, as compared to what an original were built to do.

Bill, the most important rule change was intake modifications (inline as opposed to traditional cross ram) that prompted higher rpms which led to very stiff valve springs which led to etc.

It's not all engine mods that are just for Hemis.
Look real close at some of the creative body modifications.

Next time you're in the pits someone should snap some pictures of these trick parts that they are using on today's Super Stocker's and lets see how well that goes over, lol.

Adger,,,,creative body modifications?? I guess its been a while since I've studied a 68' Cuda or Dart body,,,or else my eyes are getting bad. Care to elaborate on what we're looking for? You don't have to mention any names,,,just say "some Cudas are doing this, (insert creativity) and some Darts are doing this." (insert other creativity) I'm deffinately going to look a little closer at the next national or divisional event I go to.
