Michelin's are a good tire but ,in my and many others opinion , the passenger and light truck tires are highly overrated. ....There is a huge difference between the Pass/LT tires and the commercial heavy duty truck tires.
my own experiance with Michelins on my vehicles has been one of premature sidewall deterioation and cracking and rapid degradion of wet traction . I'm talking 3 to 4 years and under 30k miles on motorhome and trailer tires.
Everybody has their favorite tire ,just like we all run Mickeys, Hoosiers ,Goodyears or Phoenix's on our race cars. ...Same goes for our tow rigs.

Sidewalls on Michelin tires don't last as long as thread area, and worst on inside where the sun don't shine. I was told sorry no warranty! Stuck with the brand because of the wacky size on rear [4] and availability, they where probably 3/4 yrs. old and rig was stored in a warehouse out of the sun GO FIGURE.

Funny, one of the strengths of the commercial Michelins is the sidewall. Our vehicles manage 85,000 to 100,000 on the Michelins . They even can be run flat a mile or two without destroying the sidewall bead. Tire size would be 11x 24.5 tubeless XZT 16 ply. To someone having tire problems try upgrading on the ply rating. Just my 2 cents ! Flats suck !!! Check air pressure every day COLD before starting travel .

Frank,

Who was it that had told you there was no Warranty on the Michelin tire? Someone from Michelin, or a tire sales dealer? Earlier this year Michelin warrantied the tires on our crew cab and they were within the 6 year time limit. No questions asked other than DOT number and tread depth. They had almost 80,000 miles on them.

Most of the time tread area wears due to the alignment being out of whack. In that type of instance, if there is no issue found and it is documented then they still normally pro rate the cost of a replacement tire.

Another issue is air pressure. Alot of people run them under inflated for a softer ride. That kills the tire faster.
