Well the sad news is I doubt you will be seeing much of my car anymore. NHRA has just added another 2 hp to my Car and it's getting alittle unsafe to be adding 530 lbs to that little car so it can make E weight, and with the new indexs the car can't quite run the new D index so I'm a bit syuck between a rock and a hard place. Soo I might run the car in D in the spring if for some reason the Comp car isn't together. but other than that it's just gotten unsafe to at 530 lbs to a car that normally weighs alittle over 1900.

I hear ya, bud. I'm 150# heavy for D, and I'm NOT over 500# to get to E. That is just ludicrous. There needs to be 1-2 more weight breaks in there. Funny how it's ok to combine sticks and autos and spread the weight breaks in FWD but it's not good enough for anyone else. Sure don't expect them to fix it, since they already "fixed it" years ago. They're probably not even wondering "Gee, I wonder why there aren't as many FWD cars out there any more?"

C'mon in, the water's fine. Isn't it a great example of how great the system is when you take a former #1 Qualifier at Indy and turn it into an index runner? I'm in a similar boat... go -1.000 under in IHRA 1/4-mile, but the 1/8-mile indexes are so ridiculous that I'm back to being an Index runner. Cute.

Just got 5HP back on my motor. Now I'm 240# heavy for D and still have to add almost 400# to get to E.

Wanted: Driver weighing -20 pounds.

Got a call telling me they couldn't process my order for the Enkei wheels as they don't make them anymore (uh... then take them off your website!), but all may be well, as after doing even more digging I found an even better fit for what I was looking for, and quite a bit cheaper. Will post if things pan out this time.

Here are some of the FWD cars I've raced over the years
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...3_418807_n.jpg
HF/SA '85 Sunbird, owned by Billy Nees. Quickest HF/SA car ever. NHRA record holder 2002-2004, 17.30 seconds. IHRA Record Holder 2004-2006, 17.71 seconds. 1.8 liter 110 cid 4 cylinder, 84/85 hp. NHRA obsoleted this car with a single rule change.

Another Billy Nees owned car, AF/S (now BF/S) 1.8 liter turbocharged car, 150/150 hp. Built to run NHRA after NHRA killed the silver 'Bird. 14.11 best

The car I bought in 2006, ex-Tom Kasch '92 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo. 3.8 liter 231 cid 170/170 for DF/S and FF/SA. 14.93 best, 100 pounds heavy. Raced it a few times, then quit.

They wouldn't let me run the Hemi Shootout at the '06 Dutch, but I showed them.

I haven't completely made up my mind but I'm probably going to quit. After nhra's new afhs it won't be fun anymore.
Anyone want to buy a car that can get whacked half a second in good air?

Oh come on Art......At least you can control your own index for the most part. Just eat more and short shift it. At least your not in AA, A, or B stock with a 1970/71 Hemi Challenger with the new stuff..
