Special Art Leong rules for whacking your, and nobody else's, index?
Or, that something you did back in 1980 is relevant now?

Art, you should just forget about class (They will probably change it back the same day they change the red light rule) and go race with the rest of us nut cases.
What else are you gonna do? Go fishing?

i spoke to charlie from nhra at chalotte this past weekend, he explained the rules for the class points. It is not crystal clear but he told me that a class winner receives 85 points regardless of the number of rounds it takes to win class. The single class car winner recieves 80 points. you can claim points at three of your first five nationals..

they are using the lucas oil points structure, c/sa had 10 cars at charlotte and the points were awarded as follows
winner 85 points
runner up 64 points
lose in the semifinals 42 points
lose in the quarterfinals 31 points

the points structure is the same for the single car class eliminations with the exception of the bonus points

looks like there will be a number of drivers tied for the championship
the first tie breaker will be the number of class wins
the second tie breaker is head to head
charlie was not sure what the next tie breaker was
i dont think the first two will factor in at all, but we will see

That is nothing like they stated earlier. If you run 4 rounds you get the same amout of points as someone that ran 1?
This is exactly why I waited And I'm glad I did.
