Re: Glasses

I've had a 12 volt fan since way back when, mounted where the pass. side mirror used to be.Keeps me cool,
keps my glasses and windshield clear.I've seen them mounted on the pass side floor, but I think that would act like a heater.

Re: Glasses

Fogtech is available on Ebay---WAY MORE EXPENSIVE ON EBAY ---also google Fogtech online and several sources will come up ---DO NOT BUY THE WIPES THEY DO NOT WORK AS WELL ya cannot get enough/get it wet enough on the lense!!! BUY THE DROPS---should be about $13-17 depending on where ya get it--might try a big box sporting goods store too----- put it on a pad wet a spot about the size of a nickle or so and go across and back on the lens do not swirl it around either DO NOT OVERLAP the wet path or put your fingers on it it will smudge--let it dry--should be good for several weeks---this stuff works-- COMP387

Ed, I don't think a fan will work very well on my roadster. I have a fan of whatever the car is travelling at naturally.
The full face helmet in high humidity races starts to fog up about the finish line which is not very good.
I try to hold my breath for the run but sometimes I cannot make it all the way.
Anti fog is what I need and have tried several different types with not that good of track record.
If Fogtech works it will be worth every penny.

Rick, have you looked into the helmets with the forced air pipe in it.They're probably a little pricey though. The fan would work on a door car.

Yes Ed I have a circulating helmet but it is not forced with a fan.
I have a buddy who has fan induced air circulation but he has to plug it in each time to a power source. It works good for him.
I sometime race by myself and plugging in a system really needs help as it needs to be to your side or to the back to keep the wiring from flying around in front of you as you go down track.
I ordered a bottle of Fogtech from Amazon.com and it should be here by my next racing trip.
I will post a report on how it works for me the end of May when we get back home if we race in high humidity conditions or at night when fog issues seem to be the worst.
Thanks to you and FED387.
