Some of us have.......

I have not run a National event since 2001.....no matter what car I was racing....Stocker....S/C.....

No way...no how......

Saw it start to go downhill a long time ago and it has steadily gotten worse...IMHO....

Parking .....A Tech issue lately that irks me royally!! and payouts vs entry with dwindling contingencies......

I'll spend my money elsewhere.......

I agree with Rich. I may have not raced as long as most but have been going to the track since the mid 70's. With payouts vs entry fees the way they are its not wise at this point. I would much rather attend a East Coast Stock SuperStock event or a Combo race like the one Lee and Brian had. I was there and had fun. Not sit the whole weekend and maybe get a time shot.

.

Heads up ,

We have been asking Graham to open up a few more spots for Stock since Super gas isn't anywhere near full and Stock has class and it was the first class to fill up. Per an email from Graham late last night he has agreed to take 20 spots from SG an open up 20 more spots fin Stock for Englishtown.

Its has not been adjusted on NHRA.com as of right now but if you know of anyone that has not gotten in and wants in tell them to keep checking.

See you at Maple Grove.

Kent

I rest my case.

I dont blame you one bit. Ive read the issue about the dual brakes and the entry vs win $$$$ is awful compared to 10 years ago. The economy have a lot to do with it and some are just getting smarter and would rather have FUN racing a combo meet instead of sitting in their motor homes all weekend waiting for a run or two.

Sorry Angie - I got word today that no new spots will be given to SuperStock and no more will be added to Stock as planned - no explanation was given ..................

Only 2 national events in the northeast means always a packed house at etown and maple grove and this area has the largest concentration of class racers.. still 60 pit spots under quota, come on open up stock to 100 (and maybe super stock to 80) and let some grade 1 racers in!

Seems to me that the real problem is the fact that grade points have once again become important - racers must support Divisionals and Opens..............For awhile we didn't support the Nationals because of the Recession or Horsepower issues and "they" filled the time in with other types of cars - now we're paying for that .
