Out of curiosity I sent the Washington state patrol a email asking how much fuel we can carry without getting into trouble. Here is the reply.
"Dear Sir/Ma’am: Thank you for your inquiry to the Washington State Patrol. As a non commercial vehicle, you are allowed to carry one hundred eighteen gallons of gasoline. Anything more than this requires that you have a hazardous placard and a commercial driver’s license to transport it. If we may be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. Sincerely, WSP Webmaster/crp" |
