Re: 2012 Class Schedule
When you think about it it's a damn shame the charade those trolls in Glendora atre pulling on basicly all ythe racers in the pro and sportsman ranks.
Their new rules, enhancements, policies, whatever you call them come down to the fact that it winds out pitting all of us against each other, while taking the focus away from the crap they're foisting on us. Maybe one day we'll all realize this and band together in a rebellion to remove them before they sink the ship completely. |

Re: 2012 Class Schedule
Ed what do you want class at every race?
Class @ 46% of all races and STK and SS are not locked out of any event. NHRA has never had more then 13 class races per year for SS or STK. |

Re: 2012 Class Schedule
Having class eliminations on Saturday on a regular basis would provide a much better show for the spectators. But then, that would promote Stock Eliminator and Super Stock, which might make them popular classes with the spectators. We couldn't have that.

They would have to stay in the stands to watch. They leave when the fuel cars are done.

Re: 2012 Class Schedule
Alan running class on sat would be great for STK & SS, but let’s get real. NHRA can't run two rounds of pro qualifying in less than six hours how in the heck are you going to fit SS & STK class in there and keep the fans in their seats? NHRA fans on average only spend 3-4 hours in there seats watching the event, that leaves little time to watch anything but pros.
80% or more of the ticket buying fans are there to watch the pros not STK and SS or anything else. |

Re: 2012 Class Schedule
We commonly run regular eliminations on Saturday, there have been times when we ran eliminations until 8-10 at night. The Saturday pro qualifying schedule is full of holes. Stock Eliminator and Super Stock class eliminations would be great on Saturday, there's really no down side to it, it is good for the racers, the spectators, and the sponsors.
The only thing necessary is for NHRA to want to, and we all know they do not want to be bothered. |
