Re: Carter AFB Question
Ed
hey sorry it took me so long to reply. I asked my dad if he knew you and he said he remembered you racing a 65 chevelle in stock with a 327 and a glide in the 70s, that ran 12.40s said he never met you just knew who you where. if you ever saw a blue rambler american that ran deep 13's that was his old race car. |
Re: Carter AFB Question
I ran that car for two years. Tulsa was AHRA then. I had to slow it way down because the records were so soft. Best it went at Tulsa was 12.0s. Took a year off after that, then built the C/SM '69 Camaro. Tulsa was back to NHRA by then. Never did care for AHRA.

Re: Carter AFB Question
Yeah, we still have a place to play. When I started we raced at the North Airport. Still had a flag man. Had to stop the races to let airplanes take off & land. Small private airport near 36th street North & Cincinatti.
