Theres nothing wrong with protesting a guy, ALOT more cars need to be protested. Something is odd in this situation, I dont see how they (NHRA) can make him pull his engine out and apart right before 1st round. NHRA tech are a reasonable bunch of guys. I'll wait for more info.

No, you don't have to pay to read the posts. But you do have to pay and use your real name if you want to post on superstockforum.com.

Quote:

True story . I had a engine (ls1) built by Dempsey's engine builder Todd at Platinum Engine a few years back . I took it to More Performance in NC to have a new engine built and to use it as a reference for the new motor More was going to build. I gave More the Rules at that time for IHRA Top Stock and said build me the best legal motor you can and here's one that just went 9.51 at Bela Rose and it's legal per Todd at Platinum Engines

Three days later Mike from More Performance called me and ask if i wanted the motor built to the rules or if I wanted it built to copy the motor I brought them. I said to the rules . He said and I quote " there is nothing legal about this motor "

Just a Ideal , if you protest someone you should have to tear down also . 12 grams light is 1% off there should be a little tolerance given in all fairness.

Smitty, they had me in SS/JA by mistake. It should have been SS/GA However we are working on a stocker motor for NHRA
A/FIA that will be legal

Thanks for the update Bo, I saw they had you in JA and I know all your cars were GA cars so it was puzzling with all the rumors of what was happening. Thank's for not taking my question the wrong way. Your cars were real fast this weekend.

NHRA tore down & inspected our engine at Red River Raceway in 2006.
Wesley (NHRA tech inspector) inspected heads, rods, pistons, intake & throttle body. Also checked crankshaft. EVERYTHING was found legal.
Whoevevr commented that we should be pulled down needs to pull his
head out of his a@@. Next time you see our car at the races come check
out our sticker it reads DO NOT CRY, CRYBABY JUST BECAUSE WE ARE FASTER.
