Our thoughts and prayers are with the Luck and Hudlow families. I raced with Bob Luck back in the day - back in the 60's. He was a great man and a great racer. I feel honored to have known him. I raced against him at 75-80. Again our prayers are with you. We know what you are going through since we so recently lost our son Kenny Koonce, Jr.

Thank you to everyone for the kind words. He was my Grandfather but I was raised by him and my grandmother Helen who could also rebuild an engine fuel injection or whatever else needed to be done. I came home the other day to find her in my shop at 76yrs old with her car on my lift doing a brake job...no bs. But I couldn't have a better role model with either one. Dad was a very talented man built all my engines for over 20yrs and built a many record holding motors back in the day. But whatever I did like running his company car (1987 Iroc new) into a building we always got through it and were always the best of friends. He worked every day until he was 81 managing 120 guys and basically running Ronco Mechanical Contractors. Got up at 4am drove 350-400 miles a day and came home and worked on the race cars till 11pm or whatever it took to get us to the track. He taught me the finer points of how to really speed shift a 4spd and made me learn to race a 4 spd 1st because he hated an automatic (but he got use to it). He was a smart man and an innovator who new how and why things work not just a parts changer.Vic thats a cool story I never knew you would even know who dad was. Mike Bassin its always a pleasure and dad always loved shooting the breeze with you because you could still remeber details and the e.t.'s he turned.... just an amazing mind and memory you have as well as being one of the more knowledgable announcers especially in Stock and Super Stock. Kenny Sr. I am so sorry for the loss of little Kenny. He did the suspension on my 69 a few yrs ago and we always had a great time whenever we got together. He was a friend and will never be forgotten. And you were one of my heros back in the day... guys like you Jim Boburka Wally Clark Jeff Taylor Joe Scott and Lee Sherman are why I love class racing. I would stand on the fence at 75-80 when the SS cars ran and that was just the real deal to me. Also just wanted to say thanks to Anthony Bertozzi for coming all the way from richmond to spend a few days with me it really helps to have friends like him and many others that showed for Dad's funeral it was a big turnout. Again thanks for the prayers and see you soon at the track. God Bless
